Festivities and FUN...

Thanksgiving has come and gone and we had much to be thankful for this year! We spent the break with Jeff’s mother and father’s side of the family and had lots of good food to boot!!!
It seems like Esther is doing something new everyday. Just before Thanksgiving she could barley support herself but by the end of the week she was supporting herself all on her own! Things just keep getting more exciting now that we can play upright. She enjoys reading books with mommy and daddy, playing with her ring stacker, rattles, sight and sound laptop and her push and pop ball merry-go-round.
Just as Esther began to sit up right we also introduced her to her high chair and have been having so much fun learning how to use cups,  spoons and bowls. (Great grandma Friesen finished the chair cushions and they look so nice.) She has been so interested in mommy and daddy’s food its hard not to share! Esther will have her 6 month check up and boosters next week and we will begin the process of introducing solid foods.

November was such as blur  and the semester will be over soon. I have been studying hard for finals and we are all looking forward to the Christmas break!!!
It’s such a blessing to be able to come home each day and hear Jeff  singing praises about his new job and his coworkers. He’s so happy with the new found time at home and able to do the things he’s been wanting to get done for some time now and who can forget the daddy/daughter moments he’s able to spend with Esther?!
The beginning of December was a very exciting time, our family dressed in Orange (Just like any other weekend game day) to cheer on our OSU Cowboys at bedlam. Our team won against OU but unfortunately did not make it to the National Championship, which was very disappointing for many Oklahoma State fans. BUT we are gearing up for the Fiesta Bowl in January!!!
GO POKES!

The holidays are always my favorite time of year and a time to remember the most important “reason for the season”…
Luke 2: 10-14 “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
We are so excited to teach Esther the importance of Christmas and God’s love for each of us and build our very own family traditions…

Santa came to town before the Christmas parade and we took Esther to meet him. Although Santa was cheerful and bright, Esther didn’t seem to reciprocate the cheer. She began to cry shortly after a snapped the photo.
